To the editorial board of Rabochaya Gazeta. From Koba (Ivanovich).

From issue No. 4 of Rabochaya Gazeta, I learned that you sent a letter to "Koba" and demand a reply from him. I declare that I received no letter from you; the old addresses have been compromised, I have no new ones, and I am unable to correspond with you. What could you have written to me about? Perhaps it would not be amiss if I state in advance that I wish to work. But I shall work only in Petersburg or Moscow: in other locations, at the present time, my work would, I am convinced, be far too unproductive. It would be good to discuss beforehand the plan of work, etc., with one of your people -- say, from the Russian section of the CC. Moreover, this is, in my opinion, necessary -- provided, of course, that the Russian section of the CC is functioning. In short, I am ready; the rest is your affair. Perhaps I have narrowed the question and am jumping ahead... In that case, repeat your letter.

I await a reply.

Koba.

P.S. You have, of course, guessed that I am already free...
