Sochi. 25/VII.

Dear Feliks!

I have learned from Molotov about your statement of resignation. I earnestly ask you not to do this. There are no grounds for it: 1) your affairs are going well; 2) the support of the CC is there; 3) we shall reorganize the STO so that individual commissariats cannot band together to the detriment of state interests; 4) we shall put Gosplan and its sections in their place. Be patient for another couple of months -- we will improve things, honestly.

I shake your hand firmly.

Yours,

Stalin.

P.S. How is your health?
