June 2, 1926

June 2, 1926. Moscow. CC. To Molotov.

Received the coded message today. Have not yet received Molotov's letter. I will read the theses immediately and report back. I do not understand how they can rush you when you have the majority. Postpone the matter for another week and send them to the devil. The question of the theses is an important one, and it must be thought through without haste. Apparently, they want to use the English question to recoup everything they lost before. They must be put in their place.

Stalin.
