ORDER

OF THE SUPREME COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF

To Army General Yeremenko

The troops of the Independent Maritime Army, having broken through the enemy defences on the Ak-Monai positions, today, 13 April, captured the city and port on the Black Sea — Feodosiya — an important strongpoint of the enemy defences on the south-eastern coast of the Crimea.

In the fighting for the capture of the city and port of Feodosiya, distinction was won by the troops of Major-General Provalov, Major-General Koldubov, Major-General Gorbachev, Colonel Preobrazhensky, Colonel Vasilenko; the artillerymen of Major-General of Artillery Sokolsky, Major-General of Artillery Degtyarev, Colonel Kalinin, Colonel Dyurba, Colonel Morozov; the tankmen of Colonel Dergunov, Colonel Rudakov, Lieutenant-Colonel Soycheykov, Lieutenant-Colonel Malyshev; the sappers of Major-General of Engineer Troops Pilipets; and the airmen of Colonel-General of Aviation Vershinin, Lieutenant-General of Aviation Yermachenko.

In commemoration of the victory achieved, the formations and units that distinguished themselves most in the fighting for the liberation of Feodosiya shall be recommended for conferment of the designation "Feodosiya" and for award of orders.

Today, 13 April, at 20:00 hours, the capital of our Motherland, Moscow, on behalf of the Motherland, will salute the valiant troops of the Independent Maritime Army, who captured the city and port of Feodosiya, with twelve artillery salvoes from one hundred and twenty-four guns.

For excellent combat operations I declare my gratitude to the troops under your command who took part in the fighting for the liberation of Feodosiya.

Eternal glory to the heroes who fell in the fighting for the freedom and independence of our Motherland!
