ORDER

OF THE SUPREME COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF

Troops of the 1st Belorussian Front, going over to the offensive from the area south-west of the city of Zhlobin, supported by massed strikes of artillery and aircraft, broke through the heavily fortified German defences covering the Bobruisk direction on a sector 35 kilometres long, and in two days of offensive fighting advanced up to 30 kilometres, widening the breakthrough to 80 kilometres along the front.

Simultaneously, north of the city of Rogachev, the front's troops forced the River Drut and broke through the strong, deeply echeloned enemy defences on a front 30 kilometres long, advancing to a depth of up to 12 kilometres.

In the course of the offensive, the front's troops seized more than 100 populated places, among them Rekta, Ozerane, Verichev, Zapolye, Zabolotye, Knyshevichi, Moiseyevka, Mushichi, and cut the Bobruisk–Luninets railway in the area of the stations Moshna and Chernye Brody.

To commemorate the victory, the formations and units which distinguished themselves most in the fighting shall be recommended for award of orders.

Today, 25 June, at 23 hours 30 minutes, the capital of our Motherland, Moscow, on behalf of the Motherland, salutes the valiant troops of the 1st Belorussian Front that broke through the German defences in the Bobruisk direction with twenty artillery salvoes from two hundred and twenty-four guns.

For excellent combat operations I express my thanks to the troops under your command who participated in the fighting to break through the enemy's defences and force the River Drut.

Eternal glory to the heroes who fell in the fighting for the freedom and independence of our Motherland!
