Two conferences. Both city conferences, Petrograd conferences.
One a Menshevik conference. The other a Bolshevik conference.
The first representing 8,000 workers in all. The second representing 32,000.
The first a scene of chaos and disintegration, for it is on the point of splitting into two.
The second a scene of unity and solidarity. The first derives its strength from compromise with the Cadet bourgeoisie. And it is for this very reason that it is divided, for there are still honest people among the Mensheviks who refuse to follow in the wake of the bourgeoisie. The second, on the contrary, derives its strength not from arrangements with the bourgeoisie, but from the revolutionary struggle of the workers against the capitalists and landlords. The first believes that the “salvation of the country” lies in eradicating Bolshevism and betraying the revolution. The second believes that it lies in sweeping away the counter-revolutionaries and their “socialist” hangers-on. They say that Bolshevism is dead and buried.
But our esteemed gravediggers are showing undue haste in burying us. We are still alive, and the bourgeoisie will have plenty of occasion to start and tremble at the sound of our voice.
On the one hand, 32,000 united Bolsheviks standing for the revolution; on the other, 8,000 disunited Mensheviks the majority of whom have betrayed the revolution. Make your choice, comrade workers!

Две конференции. Обе общегородские, петроградские.
Одна меньшевистская. Другая большевистская.
Первая представляет всего 8 тысяч рабочих.
Вторая – 32 тысячи.
На первой царят хаос и разложение, ибо она вот-вот расколется на две части.
На второй – единство и сплоченность.
Первая черпает свои силы в соглашениях с кадетской буржуазией. И именно на этой
почве раскололась она, ибо есть еще среди меньшевиков люди, не потерявшие чести,
не желающие тащиться в хвосте у буржуазии.
Вторая, наоборот, черпает свои силы не в комбинациях с буржуазией, а в
революционной борьбе рабочих против капиталистов и помещиков.
Первая видит “спасение страны” в искоренении большевизма и в предательстве революции.
Вторая – в сметении контрреволюции с ее “социалистическими” привесками.
Говорят, что большевизм ликвидирован и похоронен.
Слишком рано хоронят нас гг. могильщики. Мы еще живы и буржуазия не раз
встрепенется и задрожит от звуков нашего голоса.
32 тысячи сплоченных большевиков, стоящих на революцию, и 8 тысяч разрозненных
меньшевиков, в большинстве своем изменивших революции, – выбирайте товарищи
рабочие!

Dos Conferencias. Las dos de organizaciones de la ciudad de Petrogrado. Una, menchevique. La otra, bolchevique. La primera representa en total a ocho mil obreros. La segunda, a treinta y dos mil. En la primera reinan el caos y la descomposición, porque está a punto de escindirse en dos partes. En la segunda, unidad y cohesión. La primera saca sus fuerzas de componendas con la burguesía demócrata constitucionalista. Y precisamente por eso se ha escindido; porque entre los mencheviques hay aún hombres que no han perdido el honor y no quieren arrastrarse a la cola de la burguesía. La segunda, por el contrario, no saca sus fuerzas de entendimientos con la burguesía, sino de la lucha revolucionaria de los obreros contra los capitalistas y contra los terratenientes. Para la primera la “salvación del país” consiste en extirpar el bolchevismo y traicionar a la revolución. Para la segunda esa salvación consiste en barrer a las fuerzas contrarrevolucionarias y a sus aditamentos “socialistas”. Dicen que el bolchevismo ha sido rematado y enterrado. Mucha prisa se dan en enterrarnos los señores sepultureros. Todavía estamos vivos, y la burguesía tendrá aún que estremecerse y que temblar más de una vez al oír nuestra voz. Treinta y dos mil bolcheviques unidos en favor de la revolución y ocho mil mencheviques dispersos y, en su mayoría, traidores a la revolución: ¡elegid, camaradas obreros!
