The Revolutionary Military Council of the Southern Front expresses comradely thanks for your greetings and for the Red banners which you have promised the regiments of the Southern Front.
The Revolutionary Military Council of the Southern Front will not forget that Petrograd was the first to come to the assistance of the Southern Front by sending thousands of advanced and battle-steeled workers, who inspired our divisions with faith in victory and completely transformed our front. It is above all to those workers, the worthy sons of Red Petrograd, that the Southern Front owes its latest successes.
Rest assured, comrades, that the troops of the Southern Front will justify the expectations of the Russian proletariat, and will with honour bear forward the banners presented to them until complete victory is won. Kiev and Kupyansk are already in our hands, and the moment is not far off when the Red banners will be unfurled over Rostov and Novocherkassk. Greetings to the workers of Petrograd! Greetings to the glorious sailors of the Baltic Fleet!

Реввоенсовет Южфронта выражает товарищескую благодарность за приветствие и за
красные знамена, обещанные вами полкам Южфронта.
Реввоенсовет Южфронта не забудет, что Петроград первый пошел на помощь Южфронту,
послав ему тысячи закаленных в боях передовых рабочих, вдохновивших наши дивизии
верой в победу и совершенно преобразивших наш фронт.
Последними своими успехами Южфронт обязан прежде всего этим рабочим, достойным
сынам красного Петрограда.
Верьте, товарищи, что войска Южфронта оправдают ожидания русского пролетариата и
с честью донесут до полной победы даруемые им знамена.
Киев и Купянск уже взяты нами, – недалек тот момент, когда красные знамена
взовьются над Ростовом, Новочеркасском.
Привет петроградским рабочим, привет славным морякам Балтфлота!

El Consejo Militar Revolucionario del Frente del Sur os expresa su cordial agradecimiento por vuestras felicitaciones y por las banderas rojas que habéis prometido a sus regimientos. El Consejo Militar Revolucionario del Frente del Sur jamás olvidará que Petrogrado fue la primera ciudad que acudió en ayuda suya, enviándole miles de obreros de vanguardia templados en los combates, que llevaron a nuestras divisiones la fe en la victoria y transformaron por completo nuestro Frente. El Frente del Sur debe sus recientes éxitos ante todo a esos obreros, dignos hijos del Petrogrado rojo. Estad seguros, camaradas, de que las tropas del Frente del Sur justificarán las esperanzas del proletariado ruso y llevarán con honor a la victoria definitiva las banderas que vosotros les regaláis. Kiev y Kupiansk se encuentran ya en nuestras manos, y no está lejano el día en que las banderas rojas ondeen sobre Rostov y sobre Novocherkassk. ¡Saludamos a los obreros de Petrogrado! ¡Saludamos los gloriosos marinos de la Flota del Báltico!
