June 8, 1920. Units of the Cavalry Army, having broken through the enemy's front in the general direction of Vcheraishche-Zhitomir, are engaged in combat in the Zhitomir and Berdichev areas. For the attainment of success in connection with the operations of the Cavalry Army, I order:

First -- the Commander of the 12th Army shall carry out the task indicated in my directive of June 6, No. 411/391/sec. field, with all energy and the most thorough execution, transferring the units of the main strike group without halt, day and night. So as not to give the enemy the opportunity to evacuate Kiev, the last remaining rail line Kiev-Korosten must be cut in the Borodyanka-Irsha area no later than June 12, using cavalry units.

Second -- the Group Commander Yakir, by a decisive offensive, shall seize the Fastov-Kornin area no later than June 10; cavalry units shall cut the Kiev-Zhitomir highway in the shortest possible time.

Third -- the Commander of the 14th Army, having brought up the 8th Cavalry Division in the shortest possible time, shall proceed to the decisive execution of the army's main task as per my directive of May 25 of this year, No. 358/89/sec. field.
