Sinelnikovo station, June 27, 1920, 20:45.

After many days of heavy fighting against the enemy entrenched behind the River Sluch and covered by several lines of trenches with barbed-wire entanglements -- notwithstanding all the difficulty of overcoming them by cavalry -- the valiant heroes of the 1st Red Cavalry Army broke through this fortified position of the enemy and at 10:00 on June 27 captured the city of Novograd-Volynsky. Prisoners and trophies have been taken; the count is in progress. The enemy is being pursued by the Red cavalry in a westerly direction. The Revolutionary Military Council of the South-Western Front salutes the selfless bravery and military valor of the 1st Cavalry Army and, on behalf of all the armies of the front, congratulates them on a brilliant victory. Long live the invincible combat might of the heroic 1st Cavalry Army. A fraternal handshake. Ordered to be read in all units of the army.
