Your latest directive 4774 op/1052/sh unnecessarily overturns the established grouping of forces in the area of these armies, which have already gone over to the offensive. This directive should have been given either three days ago, when the Cavalry Army was in reserve, or later, after the Cavalry Army had taken the Lvov area. At the present time it only confuses the matter and will inevitably cause a needless and harmful delay in operations for the purpose of a new regrouping. In view of this, I refuse to sign the corresponding order of the South-Western Front in furtherance of your directive.

NOTE
The reference is to the transfer of the 12th Army and the 1st Cavalry Army from the South-Western Front (A.I. Egorov, I.V. Stalin), which was advancing on Lvov, to the Western Front (M.N. Tukhachevsky, I.S. Unshlikht), which was advancing on Warsaw.

Ваша последняя директива 4774 оп/1052/ш без нужды опрокидывает сложившуюся группировку сил в районе этих армий, уже перешедших в наступление; директиву эту следовало бы дать либо три дня назад, когда Конармия стояла в резерве, либо позднее, по взятии Конармией района Львов, в настоящее время она только запутывает дело и неизбежно вызывает ненужную вредную заминку в делах в интересах новой перегруппировки. Ввиду этого я отказываюсь подписать соответствующее распоряжение Югозапа в развитие Вашей директивы.

Речь идет о передаче Западному фронту (М.Н. Тухачевский, И.С. Уншлихт), наступавшему на Варшаву, 12-й и 1-й Конной армии, наступавших в составе Юго-Западного фронта (А.И. Егоров, И.В. Сталин) на Львов.
