Con motivo del día internacional de la mujer
There has not been in the history of mankind a single great movement of the oppressed in which women toilers have not participated. Women toilers, the most oppressed of all the oppressed, have never kept away from the high road of the emancipation movement, and never could have done so. As is known, the movement for the emancipation of the slaves brought to the front hundreds of thousands of great women martyrs and heroines. In the ranks of the fighters for the emancipation of the serfs there were tens of thousands of women toilers. It is not surprising that the revolutionary working-class movement, the mightiest of all the emancipation movements of the oppressed masses, has rallied millions of women toilers to its banner.
International Women’s Day is a token of the invincibility of the working-class movement for emancipation and a harbinger of its great future.
Women toilers—working women and peasant women— are a vast reserve of the working class. This reserve constitutes a good half of the population. The side that it takes—for or against the working class—will determine the fate of the proletarian movement, the victory or defeat of the proletarian revolution, the victory or defeat of the proletarian power. Consequently, the first task of the proletariat, and of its advanced detachment—the Communist Party, is to wage a resolute struggle to free women, working women and peasant women, from the influence of the bourgeoisie, to enlighten them politically and to organise them under the banner of the proletariat. International Women’s Day is a means of winning the reserve of women toilers to the side of the proletariat. But the women toilers are not only a reserve. If the working class pursues a correct policy, they can and must become a real working-class army, operating against the bourgeoisie. To forge from this reserve of women toilers an army of working women and peasant women, operating side by side with the great army of the proletariat—such is the second and decisive task of the working class. International Women’s Day must become a means of transforming the working women and peasant women from a reserve of the working class into an active army of the emancipation movement of the proletariat. Long live International Women’s Day!

Ни одно великое движение угнетенных не обходилось в истории человечества без
участия трудящихся женщин. Трудящиеся женщины, самые угнетенные из всех
угнетенных, никогда не оставались и не могли остаться в стороне от большой
дороги освободительного движения. Освободительное движение рабов выдвинуло, как
известно, сотни и тысячи великих мучениц и героинь. В рядах борцов за
освобождение крепостных стояли десятки тысяч женщин-тружениц. Неудивительно, что
революционное движение рабочего класса, самое мощное из всех освободительных
движений угнетенных масс, привлекло под свое знамя миллионы трудящихся женщин.
Международный женский день есть показатель непобедимости и предвестник великой
будущности освободительного движения рабочего класса.
Трудящиеся женщины, работницы и крестьянки, являются величайшим резервом
рабочего класса. Резерв этот представляет добрую половину населения. Будет ли
женский резерв за рабочий класс или против него, – от этого зависит судьба
пролетарского движения, победа пли поражение пролетарской революции, победа или
поражение пролетарской власти. Поэтому первая задача пролетариата и его
передового отряда, коммунистической партии, состоит в том, чтобы повести
решительную борьбу за высвобождение женщин, работниц и крестьянок, из-под
влияния буржуазии, за политическое просвещение и организацию работниц и
крестьянок под знаменем пролетариата.
Международный женский день является средством завоевания женского трудового
резерва на сторону пролетариата.
Но трудящиеся женщины являются не только резервом. Они могут и должны стать –
при правильной политике рабочего класса – настоящей армией рабочего класса,
действующей против буржуазии. Выковать из женского трудового резерва армию
работниц и крестьянок, действующую бок о бок с великой армией пролетариата, – в
этом вторая и решающая задача рабочего класса.
Международный женский день должен стать средством превращения работниц и
крестьянок из резерва рабочего класса в действующую армию освободительного
движения пролетариата.

Ningún gran movimiento de los oprimidos ha transcurrido en la historia de la humanidad sin la participación de las mujeres trabajadoras. Las mujeres trabajadoras, las más oprimidas de todos los oprimidos, no quedaron nunca, ni podían quedar, al margen del gran camino del movimiento de liberación. El movimiento de liberación de los esclavos destacó, como es sabido, cientos y miles de grandes mártires y heroínas. En las filas de los luchadores por la emancipación de los siervos hubo decenas de miles de mujeres trabajadoras. No es extraño que el movimiento revolucionario de la clase obrera, el más poderoso de todos los movimientos de liberación de las masas oprimidas, haya atraído bajo su bandera a millones de mujeres trabajadoras. El Día Internacional de la Mujer es un exponente de la invencibilidad del movimiento de liberación de la clase obrera y un prenuncio del gran futuro de este movimiento. Las mujeres trabajadoras -las obreras y las campesinas- son una reserva importantísima de la clase obrera. Esta reserva constituye una larga mitad de la población. La suerte del movimiento proletario, la victoria o la derrota de la revolución proletaria, la victoria o la derrota del Poder proletario dependen de si la reserva que constituyen las mujeres está con la clase obrera o contra ella. Por eso, la primera tarea del proletariado y de su destacamento de vanguardia, el Partido Comunista, es desplegar una lucha enérgica por librar a las mujeres, obreras y campesinas, de la influencia de la burguesía, por la educación política de las obreras y las campesinas y por su organización bajo la bandera del proletariado. El Día Internacional de la Mujer es un medio de ganar para el proletariado la reserva que representan las mujeres trabajadoras. Pero las mujeres trabajadoras no son sólo una reserva. Pueden y deben ser -con una política acertada de la clase obrera- un auténtico ejército de la clase obrera que actúe contra la burguesía. La segunda tarea de la clase obrera, tarea decisiva, es forjar, de la reserva que constituyen las mujeres trabajadoras, un ejército de obreras y campesinas que actúe hombro con hombro con el gran ejército del proletariado. El Día Internacional de la Mujer debe ser un medio para convertir a las obreras y campesinas, de reserva de la clase obrera, en ejército activo del movimiento de liberación del proletariado. ¡Viva el Día Internacional de la Mujer!
