Of course, one must say more bluntly that he has no special line of his own, and that he himself is not a "leftist" over-reacher, but that there have only been (or were) instances of a conciliatory attitude toward "leftist" over-reachers.

NOTE
This is a reply written on the reverse of a note from Molotov at one of the Politburo sessions:
"We must take into account Comrade Bauman's categorical statement that he is not a supporter of any special line in our party, although he did show a conciliatory attitude toward 'leftist' over-reachers.
Does this passage from my concluding remarks at the Moscow Committee work? Perhaps say more strongly that Bauman has no special line?"

Конечно, надо грубее сказать, что у него нет особой линии, и он сам
не
“левый” загибщик, а есть (или были) лишь случаи примиренческого отношения к “левым” загибщикам.

ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ
Ответ на обороте записки Молотова на одном из заседаний Политбюро:
“Мы должны считаться с категорическим заявлением т. Баумана, что он не является сторонником какой-то особой линии в нашей партии, хотя он и допустил примиренческое отношение к “левым” загибщикам.
Подходит ли это место из моего заключительного слова на МК. Может быть, сказать крепче, что у Баумана нет особой линии?”.
