Comrades, the discussion at this congress has revealed the complete unity of the views of our Party leaders on, one can say, all questions of Party policy. As you know, no objections whatever have been raised against the report. Hence, it has been revealed that there is extraordinary ideological, political and organizational solidarity in the ranks of our Party. (Applause.) The question arises: Is there any need, after this, for a reply to the discussion? I do not think there is. Permit me therefore to refrain from making any concluding remarks. (A stormy ovation. All the delegates rise to their feet. Thunderous shouts of “Hurrah!” A chorus of shouts: “Long live Stalin!” The delegates, all standing, sing the “Internationale,” after which the ovation is resumed. Товарищи! Прения на съезде выявили полное единство взглядов наших партийных
руководителей, можно сказать, по всем вопросам партийной политики. Возражений
против отчетного доклада, как знаете, не было никаких. Выявлена, стало быть,
необычайная идейно-политическая и организационная сплоченность рядов нашей
партии. (Аплодисменты.) Спрашивается, есть ли после этого надобность в
заключительном слове? Я думаю, что нет такой надобности. Разрешите мне поэтому
отказаться от заключительного слова. (Бурная овация, весь съезд встает, громовое
“ура”; коллективные возгласы: “Да здравствует Сталин!”. Съезд, стоя, поет
“Интернационал”. После исполнения “Интернационала” овация возобновляется. Крики:
“Ура!”, “Да здравствует Сталин!”, “Да здравствует ЦК!”)
