Warm greetings and congratulations to the participants of the expedition of the icebreaker "Litke," who for the first time in the history of Arctic navigation completed in a single navigation season a northern voyage from the Far East to the West.

The successes of the "Litke" expedition testify to the firm conquest of the Arctic by Soviet seamen, to the heroic courage, bravery, and Bolshevik organizational skill of the entire expedition and crew, and to the profound knowledge of the Arctic possessed by the expedition's leaders. In the glorious voyage of the "Litke" we see a firm pledge of the speediest transformation of the Arctic wastelands into the Great Northern Route of our Great Socialist Motherland.

We are submitting a petition to the Central Executive Committee of the USSR for the awarding of the participants of the expedition of the icebreaker "Litke."
