I grieve together with you on the occasion of the death of our friend, the friend of the working class of France, a worthy son of the French people, a friend of the toilers of all countries, the herald of the united front of the toilers against imperialist war and fascism — Comrade Henri Barbusse.
May his life, his struggle, his aspirations, and his vision serve as an example for the young generation of toilers of all countries in the cause of the struggle for the liberation of humanity from capitalist slavery.

Франции, достойного сына французского народа, друга трудящихся всех стран,
глашатая единого фронта трудящихся против империалистической войны и фашизма –
товарища Анри Барбюса.
Пусть его жизнь, его борьба, его чаяния и перспективы послужат примером для
молодого поколения трудящихся всех стран в деле борьбы за освобождение
человечества от капиталистического рабства.
