Message to W. Churchill (Correspondence Vol. 1, No. 266)
Your message of May 19 has reached me. As you say, I shall await your final communication with regard to Mr Lyttelton and the other persons eligible for decoration. Congratulations on the successful Allied offensive in Italy, under Gen. Alexander. The important thing now is to ensure that the Allied operations against the German forces in Italy should indeed keep considerable German forces away from "Overlord." I have read your telegram to Marshal Tito. I, too, welcome the good relations between our Missions in Yugoslavia, and I hope they will
continue so.
