I congratulate you, Mr. President, and in your person the entire Polish people, on the great Victory over our common enemy — Hitlerite Germany.
The heroic Polish people, who suffered tremendously under the German fascist yoke, have made a worthy contribution to the cause of the defeat of Hitlerite Germany.
The centuries-old friendship between the Russian and Polish peoples, strengthened in the fire of joint struggle against the common enemy, guarantees the future prosperity and greatness of a free, independent, and democratic Poland.
