On the occasion of the national day of celebration, - the third
anniversary of the founding of the German Democratic Republic, - I send the German people, the government and you personally, Comrade Minister President, my congratulations. Please accept my wishes for further
success in the great work of creating an united, independent,
democratic, peace-loving Germany.
